and then there was light...
so it only took 6 days to get our power back on after all the neighbors got it. there was a temp meter on the property next door to us so they left us offline instead of just disconnecting it and juicing us up. i called twice a day since sunday with no luck. finally today i went to my storage unit to discover that it was broken into and all my vintage game consoles and my family photo albums were taken. who the fuck steals someones photo albums? i am at a total loss for words on how i feel about never seeing my childhood family photos again. i hope that whoever it was dies a horrible death. but anyway, when the police came to do the report, it was a friend of mine. when he came by the house later he asked "why don't you have power?" so i told him the story. he called over the radio to the other units and asked where the power trucks were and he got a response. he told me he was going to escort one back over here and sure as shit about an hour later he pulled up with one. i can't thank him enough for taking the time to get my power back on. i still just can't believe someone took my fucking photo albums... shit if i would have been there i would have helped them steal anything else in there just not my pictures. well hopefully whoever it was caught a disease in new orleans before they left and they are on the virge of death. i'll have my storm pics up soon.
